It’s ‘vital’ the UK is aware of the Island’s interests while it negotiates its future with the European Union.

That’s according to Chief Minister, Howard Quayle, who was asked in the House of Keys this week what the impact the UK General Election result last week could have on the Isle of Man.

Mr Quayle added the Manx links to Britain are ‘precious’, and work to develop new ties as well as build on existing ones is already underway.

Last week, Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party secured a huge election victory in Britain with the Labour Party losing 60 seats in its worst performance since 1935.
