TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 confirmed for March release – Team VVV

We’ve been patiently awaiting news on the release window for TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 since its reveal back in June last year. I’m happy to report the sequel’s release window has been recently confirmed by Bigben and KT Racing – expect the title to drop sometime in March 2020.

To provide players with the most realistic simulation possible, the studio has enlisted one of the top up-and-coming riders, Davey Todd (the face of TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2), as well as the fastest French rider on the Isle of Man circuit, Julien Toniutti who will share their expertise and “optimise all aspects of the riding physics”.

In 2018, while preparing for his first Isle of Man TT, Davey decided to practise on his brother’s console for two months so he could perfect his knowledge of the legendary 60km circuit. As a result, he was ranked 2nd in the game’s worldwide leaderboards and became the second-fastest newcomer of all time in the real race. In 2019 he showcased his riding skills in his second appearance at the TT by finishing in the top 8 in all categories and achieving a very impressive 6th place in the senior race.

Competing in the TT is the ultimate dream of any rider. In TT Isle Of Man – Ride on The Edge 2, the aim is to reproduce the sensation of speed and adrenalin, as well as the concentration and control required for any Tourist Trophy rider, while the player sits comfortably in their chair, risk free,” said Toniutti.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 boasts new physics which mimick realistic bike behaviour. The newly implemented ‘gyroscopic effect’ gives the player more precise steering and speed wobbles have been added to warn players that they may be about to suffer a fall. The brakes and shock absorbers now respond to all bumps in the road to help communicate grip levels to the player. Brakes, suspension, engine and tyre temperatures all need to be monitored too.

We’re looking forward to (and are slightly nervous about) hitting the colossal road course in March. TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 will release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
