A suspected case of COVID-19 on Island has turned out to be a ‘false positive’.

That’s the latest update from the Chief Minister in today’s Covid-19 press briefing.

It comes following a reported case of Coronavirus earlier today.

The individual was reported to have tested positive for the virus after taking a private test, but a government follow-up test has returned a negative result.

They, and their household will continue to isolate before another test on Sunday.

Mr Quayle has called it a “timely reminder we must be prepared” and adds he’s ‘relatively certain’ the Manx community remains free of Covid-19.
