A charity says a pheasant rescued last week has recoveredwell and been released back into the wild.

Manx Wild Bird Aid says the animal was ‘left for dead’ on the side of a road before being taken in with initial signs suggesting to the charity it took a nasty blow to the head after colliding with a car.

The organisation is thanking all those who’ve sent ‘positive vibes’ to the feathery friend adding – whilst rescues can be tough – seeing a bird go from ‘near death to good health’ has been the best gift they could’ve wished for this Christmas.

MWBA took to social media to issue the upate.
