Police are stressing the importance of vigilance after scammers took £30,000 from bank accounts on the Isle of Man.

Manx officers have dealt with two separate cases in recent days which saw criminals target people’s vulnerabilities.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says some weeks more money is lost, and anyone can be targeted.

Common scams include offering technical assistance, an investment opportunity or romance.

Officers will be in Barclays on Victoria Street in Douglas between 12pm and 2pm today to offer advice.
