Two commemorative plaques have been unveiled to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Island’s Millennium Way.

The route – which was originally developed in 1979 starts at Sky Hill in Ramsey and travelling 28.5 miles through the Isle of Man, ending at Castletown Harbour.

The new plaques, made by the Isle of Man Sawmill, have been installed at both the start and end of the popular walking route.

Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, says this year marks a fitting time to recognise the route and its cultural significance.
