Officials are ‘open to exploring all ideas and suggestions’ for the future of the iconic TT scoreboards.

That’s according to MHK Rob Callister as a public consultation opens tomorrow to hear ideas from residents on how to replace the landmark on Glencrutchery Road.

Mr Callister, the political member with responsibility for tourism and motorsport, adds anything from simply replacing like for like or creating something new with modern technology are all open to consideration.

The scoreboard became a permanent structure in the late 1980’s, but despite work in 2018 to extend it’s life the government plans to change it due to its deteriorating condition.
