Those taking part in Remembrance Day commemorations will be able to travel free on public transport to and from events on November 10.

The government is providing the service for the second year running and it’ll apply to anyone in uniform – including cadets and scouts – and those with evidence of their military service.

Political member with responsibility for transport, Jason Moorhouse MHK, says the idea was rolled out for the first time last year and was well-received by the community.

He added as well as it showing support for those taking part, it will help ease congestion and parking issues across the Island on the day.
