A British man has been detained after allegedly failing to self-isolate.
Police said the 26-year-old man was arrested after arriving on the Isle of Man last night. He is now facing up to three months in prison or a £10,000 fine, reports the Metro.
The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown dependency and introduced strict new quarantining rules amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Police on the island now have the powers to detain anyone who arrives and fails to self isolate for 14 days, even if they have no symptoms.
In a statement police on the island said: “We currently have one male in Police Custody for failing to adhere to the new legislation requiring him to self isolate.
“Please follow the guidance issued by the Government and think about the safety of the community. This is an ever evolving situation and it is important we act in the best interests of keeping people safe.”
The Chief Minister for the Isle of Man Howard Quayle announced ’emergency measures’ on Monday.
He said: “We are taking action to protect our residents and to ensure life can continue as normal as possible during this unpredictable time.
“We are advising against all non-essential travel off the Island, and the measures being introduced from tomorrow are aimed at minimising the risk of those arriving in the Island infecting our population.”
Today, the Isle of Man has confirmed its first positive case of coronavirus. The unnamed patient had recently returned from Spain, according to a statement from the Isle of Man Government.
The statement went on to say ‘contact tracing’ will now begin.
