An amber weather warning for coastal overtopping comes into force later today.

The notice from Ronaldsway Met Office will be in place from 11am until 3pm this afternoon.

Forecasters say central and northern parts of Douglas Promenade, Castletown Promenade, Shore Road in Rushen, Laxey Promenade and parts of Ramsey Promenade are the most likely to be affected.

They add high spring tides and strong winds around the time of high tide (1.15pm) could wash large amounts of water and debris onto exposed roads.
