A local charity has raised more than £25,000.
The Manx MSA Trust, generated £28,000 at its annual Summer Ball, which was held at the Palace Hotel & Casino.
The charity was first founded by Chris Blake in 2016, having been diagnosed with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) at the age of 39, a life limiting neurological illness.
The key objectives for the charity are to support local patients and their families, raise awareness of the illness in the local medical profession and support research into finding a method of early diagnosis for patients, through a simple blood test.
Niall Carey, Director, said “we are delighted to have raised a superb amount again, for the fourth year running.”
