Details have been announced for tomorrow’s Remembrance Day commemorations in the capital.
Douglas Borough Council says the parade will form on Duke Street at 9.15am to leave at 9.30am, making its way through Strand Street, Castle Street, Marina Road, St Thomas’ Walk, Market Street and Church Road Marina before reaching St Thomas’ Church.
Following this, the morning service – co-ordinated by Canon Philip Frear with Archdeacon of the Isle of Man, Andrew Brown – will take place between 10am and 10.40am.
Those taking part will then make their way to the War Memorial to observe the two minutes silence at 11am followed by the laying of wreaths.
After that, the final procession will gather on the Promenade walkway before retracing its route up to Market Hill.
The council adds in the event of poor weather any or all parades may be called off but will not affect the two minutes silence at the memorial.
