A proposed new schedule for next year’s TT is designed to minimise the impact racing has on local residents and businesses.

That’s according to MHK Rob Callister after it was announced yesterday plans have been put forward to make changes to the 2020 fixtures.

Mr Callister adds it would also aim to make road closure schedules clearer and by providing shorter race days would also see the length of times closures are in place reduced.

Among the changes – which are being submitted for the Department of Infrastructure to consider – is qualifying starting a day later on May 31, an afternoon session on the final qualifying day and certain race days beginning with a morning warm up session.
