The government is aiming to improve the quality and safety of medicines prescribed on Island.

It’s part of a new medicines strategy for the Isle of Man to run until 2021.

The Department of Health and Social Care says some of the key priorities over the next two years include using high quality medication whilst considering effectiveness and value for money and ensuring care is provided in the most appropriate settings.

Officials say the plans are for the long-term goal of continuously improving the prescribing practices around the Island.
