Artist Bio: Jeceris
Jeceris are a 5-piece band who live in the Isle of Man and the North of England. Barry Nelson & Val Nelson live on the Island and Barry is the Singer/Songwriter of the band. He was born in Canada to English parents and has gigged all over the UK in various bands. He has produced 5 albums to date and has a wealth of, as yet unrecorded music in his steadily growing catalogue. His style on the acoustic guitar is pretty unique and he is also quite dangerous with a Strat in his hands.
Barry also gigs solo & with wife/Bass player Val. Val Nelson became Barry’s Manager in 1994 whilst he was in a duo playing on the Island. She was asked to join the band in 1997 when they decided to move his then Band “Barry Nelson & the Touch” to the UK to gig. She has played bass in all his line-ups since and is also backing vocalist.
Jeceris Drummer is John Clark from Kendal. John has toured the USA in White Rose with the legendary Johnny Cash. He has also played there and in Europe in White Line Fever. He has supported many famous Country Artists. His passion is for Country Rock music. The band’s Isle of Man drummer is Noah Eglenick who is also from Tronto.
The band’s lead guitarist is Adam Cubbon who lives in The Isle of Man. Adam is a real asset to the band, his guitarist style wows all who watch.
The band have also recruited a Sax Player – Gerard McDonald who hails from Lancaster. His playing drives the audiences wild. He is a very professional player and has added dramatically to the overall sound which is full and kicking! Cross Steeley Dan with John Hiatt with Little Feet, and The Doobie Brothers and you may get some idea……. The band have just recorded their Debut album which was released in March 2007.
As 3 members of Jeceris live in the Isle of Man and 2 in Cumbria, please confirm gigs by telephone before attending! especially in Winter as boat travel can be unpredictable….
