Race chiefs plan to run the RST Superbike race which was cancelled on Saturday at 10.45am followed by the first Sidecar race at 1pm and a Supersport race at 6.30pm – weather permitting.
Today, the Superbikes and Sidecars finally got out for vital laps for the first time since Tuesday evening, with Milenco by Padgetts Honda rider Cummins setting the fastest Superbike time with a lap of 128.92mph.
“The wind was pretty bad again, but we managed to get four laps in and that all counts towards something so we’ll have to regroup again and see what happens,” said Cummins.
“When the weather sorts itself out we’ll be in a better position.
“There’s no doubt the pace will be faster, but it’s difficult to gauge anything out there at the minute.
“I know my bikes are good so I’m in a good place.”
Second quickest was last year’s Senior winner and fastest ever man around the Mountain Course Peter Hickman, who set a 128.50mph lap on his Superstock bike, amid fears he is struggling to find pace with his Smith’s BMW Superbike.
