An Island organisation providing support to carers and people with care needs is set to benefit from a £100,000 donation.
Crossroads Isle of Man has received the substantial financial assistance from the Scheinberg Relief Fund, and says the money will be used to cover the costs of 300 care support hours for their elderly service users which have risen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’ll also be used to purchase essential PPE over the next six months for the care support workers.
Crossroads says whilst the Island is beginning a return to normality, getting back to a regular routine for those who’ve been self-isolating or shielding during the Coronavirus crisis can be challenging, and so the team wants to support these people to make their caring journey easier.
Finally, the organisation is thanking the Scheinberg Relief Fund for the generous donation, adding the backing will assist the charity’s COVID-19 response whilst returning to provide some of their usual projects and services.
